On 15 October 2025, more than 100 senior leaders from Ukrainian banks and fintech companies convened in Kyiv for a full-day industry conference, Transformation and Innovation in Banking Payments. The event was organized by ADELIE INTERNATIONAL Consulting under the auspices of the Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB) and hosted at the Premier Hotel Kyiv.

The conference brought together top executives, policymakers, and technology experts, highlighting the financial sector’s accelerating focus on modernization, digital resilience, and technological sovereignty. It served as a strategic platform for dialogue on the future of payment systems in Ukraine amid regulatory transformation and geopolitical challenges.

The event opened with a high-level panel discussion dedicated to the transition away from platforms of Russian origin. Representatives of the National Bank of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and national cybersecurity institutions addressed regulatory, security, and operational considerations, underscoring the critical importance of adopting secure, modern, and nationally aligned technologies.

One of the key moments of the program was an interview with Oleksii Shaban, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine, who shared insights into the country’s financial innovation roadmap and the ongoing development of the national payment system.
The conference concluded with a leadership roundtable on the strategic future of Ukrainian banking, followed by an interview with Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. He outlined the government’s priorities for digital growth, fintech innovation, and the strengthening of Ukraine’s digital economy.
